Face Pulls

  1. Over hand grip on rope attachment of the cable machine
  2. Put the attachment on the highest setting you can (should be at head height or taller)
  3. Neutral or staggered stance, which ever is comfortable
  4. Pull directly towards your face and apart as it gets closer
  5. Squeeze your shoulder blades together and do not shrug your shoulder up.

 

Tips: 

  • You must really think about  squeezing your shoulder blades together and also visualize pulling the back of your wrists towards you as well — this will better help strengthen the back of your shoulders
    • This is both a shoulder and back exercise when done correctly.
