My passion in life is all things health and fitness. My fitness journey started when I was a sophomore in college, I started going to a spin studio and it changed my entire life. I quickly realized that working out and moving your body can be so fun! Well that spin studio was expensive and as broke college student, I ran out of money pretty quickly and then I was back at the free college gym with my husband. I fell in love almost immediately with lifting weights and lifting them heavy. For the next 6 years I focused on perfecting my form and increasing my strength to feel and look my best.
Amidst health problems in my late teens and early twenties, I learned to truly listen to my body, and that food is medicine. I have experimented lots with my diet and truly feel my best when I focus on real foods and home made meals.
I have a bachelors of science in biology from Eastern Washington University and I just graduated from Pacific University with my Doctor of Optometry. It’s safe to say I have spent my entire life studying, and the gym was my escape through countless years of school! I hope that this program inspires you to make the gym your happy place, to make improving yourself your happy place. I hope it inspires you to be and feel the absolute best you can be and that you start to fall in love with moving your body too!
